Turks and Caicos Islands
Turks and Caicos Islands, though not a typical Caribbean island, makes up for being covered in cactus and thorny trees with gorgeous beaches, busy coral reefs, adventurous dive sites and an habitat filled with natural wildlife.
A state of the art luxury cruise ship center is located in the capital island of Grand Turk, together with historical sights, brilliant waterfront sights, and a protected coral reef which drops to 8,000 feet, Grand Turk has plenty of action.
For the fishing central, look no further than South Caicos. There is a wide mix of marine life in the Caicos waters; scuba divers may see anything from sharks, eagle rays, loggerhead turtles, spotted rays, octopus to barracudas.
With all these attractions and many more, it is clear to see how Turks and Caicos Islands, once a quiet unknown place has now become a popular holiday destination for tourists.
Temperatures tend to stay quite high all year round with daily highs of 32°C in July and 27°C in January and lows tend to be around 5-6°C behind the high temperatures. The wettest months are October and November though compared to Caribbean standards, they are not that wet.
